NEW Part to my story!!!!!!!!!!!! it's been a while since i've been able to write, but i was able to get a little bit more of the story fleshed out! I dont' know if you guys remember the whole story so far so i'll put the whole thing up (also i had to edit that a bit more, too so it's slightly different). keep in mind that this is very much a roughdraft and may be subject to change, so please don't kill me on the grammar, but i'd love to see what you think, so comment away!!! hope you like it.... Outside the bar in the small pioneer town of El Paso, a weary, weather-beaten rider ties his horse near a trough of water. Inside the bar was midnight compared to the glaring sun outside. When the rider first stepped in, nothing was visible except for the mirror behind the bartender in the back, which mimicked the rays of the sun outside like a spotlight shining back towards the door. Once he adjusted to what little light there was, he walked towards the bar and sat down. By the time he did, everyone, except for a few too drunk to care, was looking to see who this stranger was. Curious, too, the bartender walked to the bar, “Whadd’le ya have?” he asked the man while picking up a glass and wiping it clean with a bar rag which had been used countless times before for the same purpose and was beginning to show it. “Shot ‘a whiskey an’ some ‘a whatever meat you got.” Said the man “We ain’t got no meat,” the bartender said while pouring the man’s whiskey, “but you can get some from tha gen’ral store down tha road there.” He pointed out towards the dirt road the man had just come in from. “Thanks” the stranger said, downed his shot, and sat glass down on the bar along with money for the drink. He began to get up… Click “Why you gotta leave so soon? You just got here, why don’t you g’on ‘n sit back down?” said a woman from behind as she pressed the muzzle of a revolver to the back of his head, forcing him to retake his seat. “I paid you back, Stella, why are you doin’ this?” asked the man “I know you done paid me back-“ She said while leaning in close enough for him to see her face. The mirror, being the only source of light in the bar, cast harsh shadows across her face, making her long, dark hair, the edge of her tan cheek, and one eye, blue and as cold as Winter herself visible to him, the rest of her face lost in darkness. “-You see, I ain’t here ‘bout your debts an’ you know it.” She said, her lips close enough to caress his ear as she spoke. She considered kissing him- No. Don’t let old feelings get in the way- She thought, her attention reclaimed by the task at hand. “Where is it?” She asked. “Where’s what?” He responded, frustration slanting his speech. “C’mon John, don’t
try ‘n play games with me-“ leaning in closer “-you already had your chance at
that…”
SOMETHING NEW!!!ok, i'm really sorry for not putting up anything for a long time, and i hope i can make it up by putting this out here now. It's the beginning of a story that i'm writing and i hope you like it. Now if things work out like i'm hoping, this story will unfold in little chapters on here as i get the chance to write and put it up here, so here it goes... (sorry i dont' have a title yet, but it will come in time)

A drunk man, with a face scarred and dark from many years of driving cattle to and from the market in far away San Antonio, leans over towards the man, “Don’t get many a’ your kind passin’ through here.” “Whadda’ya mean, Jim?” asks another man off in the corner of the shadowed room, probably playing poker at the table he is at. (to be continued…) crap...Its Summer again, and that's great, i mean no school and no annoying projects to get in my way of doing practically nothing for a while... BUT... summer means that i'm not working for school, and, like i said, that means no projects to get in my way which means that anyone who is still reading this or will soon start to again, will be expecting something... so i guess i'll start thinking and get back to you in a little bit. Untill i've gotten that done, please enjoy my new picture album. heypray for the people down at virginia tech right now, i couldn't imagine what they must be dealing with. that poem you've been hearing so much aboutThe Rush
Thoughts through the mind, As adrenaline through blood, Straining to find, Words to mix thought with lead, Scratching words on, Paper with rushed confusion, To not forget, A word of this "delusion", More hurried scratch, Brings more of this thought to life, Like a lit match, Beginning to bring forth light, Ideas begin, They begin to shine through, Breaking darkness... hey guyshey, guys,
sorry its been so long since I've said anything on this blog, but I'm in highschool and barely get any time to do things like this for now, hopefully a holliday or something is coming up, so I can finally sit down and write.
'till then
-Justin I'm finally back!!!I really am sorry that I haven't shown up on here in a while, but I have been really busy with my youth group and getting prepared for highschool.
I also have been on a mission trip for the past week on an Navajo reservation in Arizona. IT WAS SO AMAZING! We were actually there for two reasons: one was to help a small church that is in the reservation that needs all of the help it can get from other, larger churches to be able to survive in a place that sometimes doesn't accept white people very well; also we, specifically were there to create unity in our grade so that we could always know where we could turn when we have problems in highschool. At first, the only thing that we really noticed was that it was hot and that we were thirsty alot. But as time went on, we started to become more united and trustworthy to eachother. But the real change didn't happen until the night we went to the sweat lodge. for the people who don't know, in a sweat lodge, you pray, but you can't pray for yourself, you have to pray for eachother, and when that is done, you just do pure worship; it is just an amazing expierience, and the thing is that when all of the praying and worship is happening, the room, thing, you're in is getting hotter and hotter, and you have to rely on eachother and focus on God and others, just so that you don't really feel the heat. It would have to be the most AMAZING expierience i have ever had, and, it has definately changed my outlook on life and my worsip and prayr life have never been stronger than now. And when we were done, it felt as though each and everyone of my friends was a brother or sister of mine, it realy was an expierience i will never forget
The rest of the trip was great, too, because we got to do service projects, such as, paint the police station in Tuba City; we also got to build a wheel chair ramp for a family in a nearby city called Cameron, it was cool to see the reaction the people gave when they heard we were from Atlanta and had traveled out so far just to help them. It really was worth all of the added effort involved.
Well, i'm back now with new inspiration, so I might come up with a little something for you guys in a few days or so, we'll have to see... Finally a poem...Reverse… This world we live in is getting off track, Those who run won’t be coming back, People dyin’ in the streets of a city, All we do is give them pity, But if we have a chance to go, We slam the door and say no, All we do is lock the world out, And try not to hear the people shout, We plug our ears and cover our eyes, While within our reach another dies, As we turn our backs, we ask, “Who can make it right? Who has this task?” The answer is us, we can stop it, And turn this trash heap into a city well lit, And we can change; this is not a curse, We simply need to reverse… heyI HATE writer's block!!! I'm BackHey, sorry it took me so long to get one out again, but my life has just not given me time untill now, I've wanted to put this up for a while, sad enough, I kept on leaving this one in the back of my docs for so long, but here you go... Eyes of Innocence… Pools of black looking straight inside, Piercing in through my disguise, Into my inner core they go, Bringing pain and deep sorrow, Reminding me of all my wrongs, My life feeling like the saddest of songs, Depression sinks into my heart like a knife, Slow and painful, draining my life, I felt so much pain come from your eyes, That with just a stare, you have brought my demise… WOWHey, I just had some extra time and decided to update a little; and just before I did, I saw this amazing Honda add and it just blew me away. It is based on the works of Rube Goldberg, and it is just amazing if you want to watch it, Click here.
-Justin helloHey guys!
Thought that I'd let you know that I didn't drop off the face of the earth or anything like that. I actually have had my hands tied up with a new hobby I've picked up... I am now starting to play guitar and it is GREAT (for those who want to know, it is a black Takamine). It is acoustic and sounds awesome. So that is what i've been doing for the last few days other than doing homework and trying to come up with a new poem for you guys... speaking of which I have one, here it is:
Untitled
Pools of black looking straight inside,
Piercing in through my disguise,
Into my inner core they go,
Bringing pain and deep sorrow,
Reminding me of all my wrongs,
My life feels like the saddest of songs,
Depression sinking in like a knife,
Slow, painful and draining my life,
So much pain coming from just one place,
I gave in and let shaddow embrace... hey everybodyHey,
Thanx for all of the comments on my last poem and sorry i haven't checked in at all this week on the actual blog part, but hey I'm a guy in middle school and have had no spare time between homework... videogames... essays... videogames... book reports... videogames... after school activities... oh, and videogames... I put the important stuff first, because that's the only way to make it well in school. So see you guys in a few days for the poem of the week.
-Justin Poem of the week 3Sometimes when I write, I like to get the reader involved, so I want to know what you think about this poem. I know you already do this, but to me, this one seems incomplete... So I want you to tell me what you think is missing, or how I could continue it... or even if it seems to you that doesn't need anythning else...
As I'm giving in,
The darkness creeps inside,
It says its time once again,
Time for me to hide,
To hide from the truth,
And the ones I've done wrong,
It says they have no proof,
Nothing saying what I do is wrong,
And if i keep this show going,
They won't ever have to know,
Cuz they will go on without ever knowing,
(all they need to see is what I wish to show) HelloI took the Writer's Challenge on Kathryn's blog and I thought that you guys would like it, so here it is...
Great, ancient ones of old, Only roots escaping the cold, Strength of branch in twisted knot, Defying Winter’s ancient plot. While beneath the silent battle cries, A son of nature from hunter hides, Eyes of gold and hair of gray, Danger’s near, he cannot stay. The night has come, and the chorus starts, Raising a song of mourning hearts, To the moon their friend of old, Who has never felt this earthly cold…
Poem of the Week 2Beauty of Mine...
Like the ocean in a glass window,
She and I never seem to touch,
The closer I come, the farther away she will go,
The distance between always seems too much.
There may be others, but none such as this,
Beauty as rare does not exist,
So forever on I try to find,
This beauty, the beauty of mine... Poem of the Week #1OK, I've decided to try something new, I'm going to start having a poem of the week...
Guilt...
Bright as day,
Black as night,
whatever you say,
You're in its sight,
You may come, and you may go,
Wherever you are, it watches you so,
If you shy from the truth, no matter how far,
It always knows who you really are... Something cool Hello, here is something i am really proud of and would like you to see it too ( by the way, for those who stopped by I Aspire, I am that kid who wrote this, I am Justin).
As The Page is Turned
Words, they cause images to appear in your head, whether it be as sweet as two lovers meeting at their lips for the first time, or as gruesome as the poison that separates them only moments later. The images may change from one to another or leave you to wander through the infinite corridors of your mind pursuing the truth and the fate of the characters amongst the pages of the book. Some leave you to have a feeling of danger and fear of the unknown end, while others leave you with that wholesome and safe feeling that comes only in the end. Some images can tear your heart out in sadness, while others harden it with anger and frustration. These words can also cause you to be filled with joy and a feeling of completion, like when you come home after a long trip. They make it seem that if they die, your heart would break, or if they live, you will feel as satisfied as when a close friend survives an illness. These images come one after another inside the book, in the pages, within the words, as the page is turned... |
